St Augustine Humane Society

Our Mission

The St. Augustine Humane Society promotes lifelong pet ownership by serving the rehabilitative and medical needs of companion animals. Our programs are designed to reduce the need for pets to enter shelters, and we aim to ensure all pets have access to veterinary care, prevent overpopulation, and prevent animal suffering.

Our Clinic

The only one of its kind in St. Johns County, our clinic operates with a full crew of medical staff and volunteers and provides low-cost veterinary care. Affordable care reduces the need for pets to be surrendered to shelters due to financial hardship.

Spay Neuter

Low-cost and free spay neuter surgery is performed at our onsite surgery center, making this lifesaving surgery available to pet owners in greatest need, and addressing pet overpopulation. In 2015, we were accepted into the ASPCA Clinic Mentorship Network as part of the ASPCA Spay Neuter Alliance.
