GRACES

Guatemalan Relief Assistance for Children's Educational (GRACES) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the cycle of generational poverty in Guatemala by providing a holistic education. GRACES equips students with tools for the future, including access to technology, English language skills and entrepreneurship opportunities. The organization also provides physical, emotional and spiritual education through in-school and after school programs. 

GRACES primary project is Escuela Integrada, a K-9th grade school in Jocotenango. The families the school serves make, on average, $297 per month, which is expected to provide for the whole family. However, a basic cost of living in Guatemala is $1,056 for a family of four. GRACES exists to provide equitable access to education for students who would not have access to quality education otherwise.

As an organization, we have been blessed to see the cycle of poverty broken in just ONE generation. Students whose families struggled to put food on their plates and shelter over their heads are now thriving young adults who are able to provide a more stable environment for their families.
